Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern localcevents.com and its related event-data services. By using the service you agree to these terms and to the Acceptable Use Policy, which is part of this agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service
Local Community Events is a directory of local event information gathered from public local sources and organizers and reviewed before publication. We are not the organizer of listed events. Details can change after publication; confirm important details, including dates, prices, and accessibility, with the organizer before attending. Information that is not stated by a source is labeled as unknown rather than assumed.
Accounts and membership
You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your credentials private. Paid features are billed as described at the time of purchase, and the pricing, renewal, and refund terms shown there apply. You may close your account at any time.
Your submissions
The service lets you submit information such as city scan requests and suggestions of event websites. For every submission you confirm that it is lawful and accurate to your knowledge, that any suggested website publishes its event information publicly, and that the submission complies with these terms and the Acceptable Use Policy. You grant us the right to use a submission to operate the service, including fetching, checking, indexing, and displaying what the suggested source publishes. Suggestions are checked automatically and may also be reviewed; we may decline or remove any submission or source at our discretion, and inclusion is not guaranteed.
Rights in content
Our text, design, software, review work, and the selection and arrangement of the service remain ours or our licensors'. Organizers and other third parties keep their rights in their own descriptions, names, images, and content. Use of listings and exports is governed by the Acceptable Use Policy.
Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, about availability or about the accuracy or completeness of event information, which originates with organizers and other sources.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for losses arising from attendance at listed events or reliance on listing details. Our total liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the amounts you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Termination
We may suspend or end access for a breach of these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive, including rights in content, disclaimers, and the limitation of liability, survive termination.
