Registration Deadline: 12:00 PM on the Friday before the class starts. Prerequisites: 6 years of age before the first class. Goal: Orient children to the aquatic environment, teach basic aquatic skills, prepare children to safely participate in aquatic activities, and learn a new safety topic each class. Skills that are focused on: traveling at least 5 yards, bobbing 5 times then safely exiting the water, gliding on front supported at least 2 body lengths, and rolling to a back float for 5 seconds with assistance.
