Registration Deadline: 12:00 PM on the Friday before the class starts. Prerequisites: Successful completion of Level 5 Goals of this Course: Stroke refinement for greater efficiency and effectiveness over longer distances. Focus on personal water safety and the skills necessary to become a Water Safety Instructor or Lifeguard. Learn a new safety topic each class. Skills focused on: swimming 500 yards continuously using any 3 strokes, demonstrating all six swimming strokes for 50 or 100 yards, demonstrating various survival techniques for 10 minutes, demonstrating treading without arms using multiple kicks.
