Portraiture is one of the oldest and most fascinating genres in art history! Join the MFA at the James Weldon Johnson Library as we explore a selection of portraits from the museum’s permanent collection, including generals, gods and goddesses, and everyday people who inspired artists throughout history. Then, create a portrait of your own! It can be a self-portrait or a portrait of a friend or family member. Both the Pinellas Public Library Cooperative and Pasco County Libraries offer FREE family admission to the MFA through museum passes available at each PPLC member library. Passes are available for in-person check-out on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be renewed or placed on hold.
