About this event
MLK open studio provides students ages 18+ with a space to work with clay. Electric wheels are available for shared use. Prior experience required to use wheels. Participants can register for the session or pay a daily drop-in rate of $25. Participants can also purchase clay for $25 for a 20# bag or you can bring your own. We fire kiln for mid fire (Cone^ 5 or 6). The registration fee covers the cost of studio space, use of studio tools, use of wheels, use of glazes, firing of items, and storage space for the session. Please note, this is a community kiln. All glazes must be food safe and not require any special firing requirements. Kiln will be fired when there is a full kiln load.
