Friday, October 2 • 6:00 – 10:00 PM For All Ages • Free • Please RSVP At The Bronx Museum (1040 Grand Concourse) The Bronx Museum stays open late the first Friday night of every month with fun and free events! For the October 2026 iteration of our First Friday, get ready to move! In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month 2026, The Bronx Museum presents Movement and Heritage, an all-ages party celebrating the vibrant dance styles and music of Latin America and the Caribbean. The evening kicks off at 6:00 PM with dance lessons led by Talía Castro Pozo Productions covering Cumbia, Bachata, and Salsa. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or stepping out for the very first time, you’ll feel the history, passion, and technique behind every step. Then, at 7:00 PM, the dance floor opens up for all movement with DJ Curly Nez spinning the absolute best in Latin music all night long. When you take a break to catch your breath, you can check out local vendor tables featuring items for sale as well as giveaways, plus enjoy complimentary light bites and drinks (while supplies last). Bring your family, bring your friends, and bring your energy—all ages are welcome to celebrate!
