Olive Oil & Chocolate: Two Harvests, One Table

About this event
Olive oil and chocolate are two ancient foods that carry stories of culture, process, and taste. Let’s taste our way into them during a delicious evening together. Join Isabella of The Full and Nettie of Small Batch Education for an evening exploring what chocolate and olive oil have in common (and where they are different). Both start as fruit, harvested by hand. Both pass through a process that can honor them or hurt them. And both foster a slow, sensory approach, paying attention to bitterness, quality, and origin. Over three chocolates and three olive oils, we’ll taste our way through: Process : from harvest to bar, from tree to bottle, and everything in between Quality & defects : what actually separates a great chocolate or oil from a bad one Bitterness & polyphenols : why the same word can mean very different things Single-origin vs. blend : and what that choice can create
