During Witches & Wizards Weekends in October, the Science Center will be filled with Halloween spirit and fall-themed fun for the whole family! Each weekend brings hands-on activities, festive challenges, and spooky science surprises that make learning an adventure. All activities are included with general admission or membership (unless otherwise noted below). Wizardry Activities Witchy Character Appearances – Saturdays from 1:30-2:30PM SAT., OCT. 3 SAT., OCT. 10 SAT., OCT. 17 SAT., OCT. 24 SAT., OCT. 31 Oct. 3, 1 & 2 pm Live Owl Show Meet real owls from Wildlands Conservancy and find out what makes these magical birds of prey so wonderfully unique. 11 AM, 1 PM, 3 PM Spellbinding Science Show Step into the witch’s lair and witness jaw-dropping experiments with some not-so-spooky surprises mixed in! Saturdays and Sundays in Oct at 11 AM, 1 PM, and 3 PM. Note: No 1 PM show on Oct. 3 2 pm Meet the Familiars Meet some of our creepy, crawly, and scaly animal and insect ambassadors on Saturdays and Sundays in Oct. Note: No program on Oct. 3 All Day Witch's Web Swing a tethered ball to knock down witch hats and see Newton’s laws in action as force, speed, and spin team up to guide its path. All Day Witches on Wheels Test your driving skills as you guide witches on RC tractors around the track and discover how radio waves send signals to keep your vehicle on the move. All Day Hex Tac Toe Try out this festive twist on a classic game and sharpen your strategy skills along the way. Saturdays, 1:30 PM Parade of Witches Come dressed in your Halloween costume and join some of your favorite witchy characters as we parade through the Science Center 12 PM Bat Echolocation Purchase your own plush bat and learn about how bats navigate the world using echolocation with a special hands-on activity! $10 per person / $8 members
