Whether you want to create custom posters, fine art prints, or unique hand-printed cards, this workshop provides the foundational skills you need to confidently carve and print your own blocks. What You’ll Learn: This comprehensive workshop covers the entire linocut process from concept to finished print: A Brief History of Linocut: Discover the origins of this relief print technique and how it evolved into a powerful medium for modern artists. Designing for Linocut: Learn the art of thinking in reverse and translating your ideas into high-contrast, impactful images optimized for block printing. Carving Methods: Master the use of carving tools to create textures, fine lines, and bold shapes safely and effectively. Inking & Printing Techniques: Learn the secrets to achieving the perfect ink consistency and coverage for a crisp, clean transfer. Hand vs. Press Printing: Gain experience with both traditional hand-burnishing methods and using a professional printing press. Bonus!
