Audience: Students, Faculty/Staff. Check eligibility/registration.; An active shooter is defined as an armed individual who has used deadly force and continues to pose a threat by having access to additional victims. While active shooter incidents on college campuses are uncommon, past tragedies at Virginia Tech and Northern Illinois University highlight the importance of being prepared for emergencies. This training program, developed for all 35 institutions within the University System of Georgia, includes a 10-minute instructional video and a training scenario.
