About this event

New in 2026! Thriving with a Thorn is a Christian support group for those who are care-taking someone with mental illness. It meets at 6 PM the second Tuesdays monthly at Lake Avenue Church in Pasadena in room HH403 (Hutchins Hall Building) and is facilitated by Dr. Eugen and Daniela Matei who also facilitate the NAMI Faith-based Family Support Group which meets in Pasadena on third Tuesdays. Developed by Dr. Matei, the Thriving with a Thorn group may include group discussion of relevant resources such as videos and readings as well as support and sharing of resources.
