About this event

This year marks the 33rd year that Foodlink and Wegmans have partnered for the annual Check Out Hunger campaign. The local campaign begins Wednesday, Oct. 21, at 21 Rochester-area stores – and runs through Nov. 28 in conjunction with other Wegmans campaigns that support food banks up and down the East Coast.

The point-of-sale campaign allows Wegmans shoppers to donate a few dollars – or simply round up their grocery bill – while checking out at their local store. 100% of the proceeds from local stores benefit Foodlink and its mission of ending hunger and building healthier communities.

Last year, Rochester-area customers donated $820,515 — This marked a $115,000 increase over last year’s total, and the first time in the event’s 32-year history that the campaign exceeded the $800,000 mark. <span data-ccp-props="{"201341983":0,"335559739":0,"335559740":240}">

Thank you to all those who donated!
