Registration Deadline: 12:00 PM on the Friday before the class starts. Prerequisites: 6 months of age before the first class AND confidently explore the water with support. Goal: Children learn when and how to safely enter and exit the water, develop breath control, gain comfort with a feeling of buoyancy, learn arm and leg actions for swimming, and continue building safe habits for aquatic environments including the expectation of parent supervision and what to do in an emergency. Provides parents with safety information and techniques they can use to help their children in the water. AN ADULT IS REQUIRED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE WATER.
