About this event
@ Help us fill bowls, hearts, and our community with hope! FISH and Ogres-Holm Pottery are once again coming together for Empty Bowls, a meaningful community event that brings people together over handmade pottery while raising awareness and support for neighbors facing food insecurity. This year’s event will be held October 10 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Carson Mall, and we need community members willing to lend a hand to make the event a success. Whether you have volunteered with FISH before or this is your first time, there is a place for you. Volunteers will help with event setup, guest assistance, bowl distribution, cleanup, and other activities throughout the day. It’s a great opportunity to meet people, support a local nonprofit, and be part of an event that makes a tangible difference in our community. Empty Bowls is more than an afternoon of beautiful pottery. It is a reminder that no one in our community should have to wonder where their next meal is coming from. Proceeds from the event help FISH provide food and other essential services to individuals and families throughout our region. And, of course, the heart of Empty Bowls is the pottery. Ogres-Holm Pottery creates and provides the handcrafted bowls, giving participants something special to take home while helping support FISH’s mission. Each bowl is unique—just like the people and stories that make our community strong. We Need You! A successful community event takes a community of people behind it. Your time, energy, and willingness to help can make a difference.
