About this event
Waterman’s Last Club Race Weekend 🦁🐯🐻 The Olympic and Long Course races are Saturday, October 3 , and the Sprint is Sunday, October 4 . Racing one day? Come cheer for your clubmates on the other! Or do the double and race both days! Click the ‘attend’ button to let us know you’ll be racing! And for Sunday’s Sprint, whether you are racing or cheering, join your fellow club members and dress up! This year’s theme is ANIMALS — lions, tigers and bears, oh my! 🦁🐯🐻 Saturday Gathering – please RSVP by Tuesday Sept 29!! We need a headcount so we can plan food & drinks for the Saturday 3:00–6:00 PM get-together . We’re planning a delicious spread from a local Vietnamese restaurant, including: 🥖 Banh mi sandwiches — chicken, pork, and vegetarian (tofu) 🥬 Spring rolls 🍜 Vermicelli noodles We also still need a few extra hands to help make Waterman’s Weekend a success! Please use this form to RSVP to the Saturday social gathering and sign up for volunteer opportunities. Mainly we need help transporting equipment from the club storage unit in Arlington to the race site on Friday afternoon and from the race site on Sunday back to the storage unit in Arlington. The items needing transport include: the two club tents, 2-3 club coolers and ~15 club camping chairs. (Even if you can help with one direction, this would help!!!) Exact address will be posted on group & in Discord the week before the race, but location is walking distance to the transition area of the race. You can RSVP without volunteering, volunteer without attending the get-together, or do both! Please email volunteer@dctriclub.org or president@dctriclub.org with any questions! 🏠 Coordinate with Your Clubmates Use the Waterman’s group linked to this event to coordinate rides, share housing information, find a place to stay, or let others know if you have an extra spot in your house or room.
