From indie and folk to soulful acoustic sets, each performance is a chance to discover new talent in a cozy, cocktail-forward setting. Send us a message at Events@TheOxbowHotel.com Joe Thielen performs in a handful of bands in the Chippewa Valley, including Yam Cannon, Hey Joe, Grodge, and the Sliced Bread Jug Band. In addition to these efforts, He also recently completed an album of solo material at Philville Records, accompanied by members of the Driftless Revelers, and is plotting a release in 2026. Thielen also enjoys writing and performing acoustic music on patios, porches, living rooms and dank basements. Joe’s original music is an odd combination of Woody Guthrie, The Kinks, The Grateful Dead, The Cure, Boston, and The Velvet Underground, with lyrics sprung from a mind that enjoys meandering through strange spaces.
